Easter - Why Do We Celebrate the Risen Lord Jesus?

He was the Greatest man in history, named Jesus, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no Army, yet Kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. He is risen and sitting at the right hand of God interceding for those who have repented and accepted him into their hearts. He fills the void in your heart that you tried to fill with all the world has to offer and you were still discontented. Everything we buy to make us happy fades after awhile and we start looking for something else. With Jesus in your heart, you aren't looking for more to fill that void, you have peace and contentment and a joy unspeakable and full of Glory.
