Husband Sick

My husband has been sick now for at least a month. He has had so much nausea and they couldn't seem to find a cause. He spent two separate weeks in the hospital. They finally came up with the diagosis of congestive heart failure. He has all kinds of oxygen equipment now. We even have a tank in case the lights go out. It is a big help to have the County Nurse come in also to check on him.

L - Hill's Pet Nutrition

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hills Pet Nutrition for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

We dog owners love our pets so very much.  They become a big part of our families and we want to keep them as healthy as we possibly can.  Truly, we have been customers of Hill's various varieties of dog foods for many year.  Did you know you can find  Hill's Pet Nutrition on Facebook  ? Check into it and just click on "Like".   I was checking out Hill's Mobility Challenge and I found out they have all kinds of neat stuff for you to look into.  There is a  Hill's Healthy Mobility Coupon where where you can register.  By registering you can receive $30 in coupon offers and that is a lot.  It means I can save quite a bit on my next purchases of the best food my dog, Holly, just loves.  But not only that, by registering it puts you in their sweepstakes. How would you like to win a year's worth of free pet food.  There will be 30 winners of that free pet food and I hope to be one of them, how about you?  Hill's has thought of everything and by checking out Hill's Pet Nutrition you are able to find out so very much information that you may not have been able to find elsewhere.  Your pet will love you for it.  Our little Holly loves good dog treats and she can sell the package they are in.  The other day I heard her digging around in the recycle sack and she had never done that before.  I finally figured out that she could smell the empty treat bag so I took the sack out to the garage.  Well that is where she does her "business" and wouldn't you know, she could smell that bag out there.  I finally had to put it way up high where she couldn't get at it :0)

Family Visit

Our granddaughter, her husband and two children came to visit this afternoon. Our daughter also stopped in and we kept her dog, Zoe, for her for a couple of hours. She is a pretty white Bishon and she is such a good little dog. The two great grandchildren were a delight. Little Kaelyn is going to be 4 in November and can she talk. It is amazing how clearly she talks and she comes up with amazing answers. Her little brother is growing up too so quickly. He is going to be 2 and a new baby brother or sister is on the way too. It was so much fun having them for a visit.

STRAIGHT TALK - AUGUST

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you are like me, you do not enjoy being locked into a two year contract.  Then they limit your minutes, times when you can call, number of texts you can make.  The next thing you know, you are dreading to receive your next cell phone bill because you are not sure of how many calls you made, etc.  Now there is Straight Talk that has everything you need. So many companies have such poor connectivity and drop your calls at the most inopportune times. Not with Straight Talk.  Everything comes in so clear and they only use the best phones with all the best apps you want. I know you want to have plenty of call time.  How about 1000 minutes and 1000 texts.  All this for only $45 a month or unlimited picture messaging and web for $499 for a year.  You can call a friend because there is all the International Calling you could want.  Just think of the money you can save without paying activation fees, reactivation or even termination fees.  You can get that new outfit you've been wanting or accessories for your vehicle or even upgrade your vehicle.  If you have kids in the house that you want to have a great phone then mom knows best because she will get Straight Talk and be able to purchase reconditioned phones for only $10 and they have all the bells and whistles that a new phone would have.  They would have plenty of texting, instant messaging and that's only a few of the benefits of Straight Talk.  The money saved will buy all those groceries that growing kids make disappear so quickly.  It is also good to know there is no extra charge for 411 calls. I know if I can cut my cell phone bill in half or perhaps even more, then I am totally sold  on Straight Talk  Hook, line and sinker. I know I have only touched on their many benefits but it is easy to check out yourself.

Blood

Do realize how serious it is to pass blood in your urine. There is a good reason for it and you better get to the doctor or ER. My husband has been passing blood clots and he also had a severe ache in his back. We never thought of kidney stones until this morning. He passed 2 clots and with much pain and since then the blood has stopped. I called the hospital and they said to go to ER but now he seems to be OK so will wait a bit longer. It is nothing to mess with though.

Nice Weather

We are finally getting a break in the very extremely hot weather. It was in the 70's yesterday with a brisk wind. Today it is 74 and the wind has let up. Therefore, it is quite a bit warmer feeling but still nice. It is great to have the windows open and let fresh air. It is the first time in weeks that we have been able to do that. It has its good points and bad points because if you have allergies, the allergy ratings are high. So opening the window lets in more pollen. However, it sure is nice sleeping at night in the 50's with the windows open and cool enough for a light blanket.

Missing Holly

We sure do miss our little dog, Holly, since we had to put her to sleep. She had liver problems and other things. She was always there to help you clean up the crumbs you dropped on the floor. She loved her slice of American cheese at a certain time every morning and let you know if you forgot. It was funny too that if you fell asleep in your chair, she would stand by your chair and give a little bark to wake you up. It was fun to pretend you were asleep just to have her do that. It is too bad dogs don't live a healthy life for at least 50 years.

Good Neighbor

We have some really good neighbors. One of them brought me some home grown lettuce, cucumbers and her tomatoes are almost ready. She is so good to bring us fresh vegetables. I, in turn, bake and give her cookies and cake and things she doesn't have around her house because her husband is diabetic. It is fun to exchange things like that. I also help her out with a ride uptown now and then when she needs one.
