U.S. Marine Guilty of Iraq Killing

A U.S. Marine has been found guilty of killing an Iraqi soldier while the were on night time patrol in Fallujah. He was convicted of negligent homicide, but was found not guilty of a more serious charge of unpremeditated murder. He told a military court in San Diego that he stabbed the Iraqi private after suspecting he might be signaling to an insurgent sniper. He now faces up to eight years in prison and a dishonorable discharge.
