Conservatives are Ahead in EU Races

Conservatives raced toward victory in some of Europe's largest economies on Sunday. The initial results and exit polls showed voters were punishing left-leaning parties in European parliament elections in Germany, Italy, Belgium, France, Britain, Spain, and the Netherlands and elsewhere. However, Greece was a notable exception. The governing conservatives there were headed for defeat in the wake of corruption scandals and economic woes. This was the latest news to be reported out of Belgium.
