Stock Market Closes Down 17 Points

There doesn't seem to be many rosy days for the stock market. People's 401k's have evaporated. Stocks have been just terrible. They keep talking a brighter economic forecast, however, today thousands more people applied for unemployment. Health care companies seem to be the only ones gaining or holding their own. The Fed raised its expectations for economic growth during the second half of this year, but said unemployment will remain high. Millions are on unemployment, without jobs and no prospects of getting a job.
