Family Birthday

Today is my brother's birthday.  I only have one brother and enjoy treating him on his birthday.  After church, went and got lunch and took it over to his house.  Also took a funny card and presents.  We had a great visit.  We watched a funny TV show I hadn't seen before.  He was ready for a nap by the time I was ready to leave :0)

Birthday

I celebrated my biggest birthday yet.  There was all kinds of great food.  All my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were there.  Several friends joined in and extended family.  A good time was had by all.  Lots of visiting and eating.  A gorgeous birthday cake made of both chocolate and white.  It was a big day and I sure had fun.

Birthday Celebration and Easter

Saturday we had a combination Birthday party for our grandson who turned 26 and a delicious Easter dinner. Then it was a ball watching the great grandchildren open their Easter baskets. They paraded all around the house and it was fun to watch them enjoying themselves so much. With 2 two year olds and 2 four year olds, it was plenty noisy but its only a little while and enjoyed watching them. Great Grammy (me) was plenty tired by 4 o'clock so went home to take a nap:0). A great time was had by all.

Birthday

Our youngest son had his birthday on Saturday. It was a beautiful sunny and warm day. I say warm because normally it would be snowy and below freezing in January. The night he was born, we had tons of snow, and it was way below zero. I nearly froze getting to the hospital. It was very early in the morning and still dark outside. It is hard to believe that was 55 years ago.

Birthdays are Fun

Our little great granddaughter turned 2 on November 1. She had a neat Elmo cake. She got all kinds of presents. It looked like an early Christmas. It is so much fun to see the little ones enjoying their birthdays. Her little first cousin was able to join in the fun too. Being only a few days apart in age, they really have a good time together.

Chocolate Cake

I got chocolate cake for my birthday. Yum Yum. I had a great birthday, lots of cards, phone calls and a great lunch out at a local restaurant after church. We also got some delicious sweet watermelon, the first for this summer. It is really good. Birthdays can be so much fun. The older you get, the better birthdays get. They really do.

Lunch and Living

We went to lunch today with a dear friend I used to work with. We celebrated her 56th birthday a couple days late. But we had a great lunch and wonderful homemade pie you just can't beat. It was a beautiful day although very very windy. The frost must be out of the ground as the huge ponds of water have gone down in the fields and wind is helping to dry out everything. We still have some big piles of snow that have turned to ice and will take a little longer to get rid of but it is still March. Looks like March will come in like a lamb. Sure hope so.

My Brother's Birthday

My brother's birthday was yesterday and we sent him a couple of cards a day apart for the fun of it. The second one contained 4 scratch off lottery tickets. He won $2 on one of them so he took it to the store and played pull tabs with it and won $20.50. So that turned into quite a nice birthday present, didn't it? He sure had fun.

Grandpa's Birthday

Today would be grandpa's birthday if he was still alive. He was a great Ford garage mechanic for over 35 years. One day he was out in the yard and he told his neighbor it was funny but he was seeing double. The neighbor said, now that's funny. I know a guy who was seeing double and he died. Grandpa went on into the house, sat down in his favorite chair and died, just like that. Isn't that something?

Birthday

Today is our friend, Lois' birthday. We watch her house for her all winter while she is in Arizona. That big 6" snow fall we had not too long ago froze about a foot deep right in front of the door we had to go in to check the house. I had to take the spade over and chop away the ice so we could get the door open. Everything in the house was fine but last week there was a little water in the basement from all the snow melting and rain. She has two sump pumps though that do a good job and a dehumifier that runs all the time. Her other neighbor is home from Texas but Lois usually stays till mid or late May. It gets really too hot in AZ by that time.

Barb's birthday

It's Barb's birthday today and she likes flowers best for her birthday and any celebration, for that matter. Her boys always get her alot of flowers and that is the best gift. We will all go out for supper tonight and celebrate with her. That will be fun and a favorite restaurant too. Makes me hungry thinking about it.

More Birthdays

More birthdays to celebrate. Even the Presidents celebrate around this time. Our friend'b birthday is today and we are having a party with a big supper out at a restaurant. They have great steaks, just melt in your mouth. My favorite place to eat next to a great Mexican restaurant we like. We will all have a good time and celebrate my friend's birthday.
