Cemetary

It was one of the last warmer days yesterday.  I decided it was a good day to go out to the cemetary and bring home some of the things. I have a big shepards hook with an artificial basket of flowers that got quite well beaten up by the wind. My neighbor went along to see what she wanted to do at her husband's grave.  They are bringing their nameplate next week.  I put a couple of fall flowers out and took along 2 winter flowers (all artificial of course) and had her put one on her husband's grave and I put one on my husband's grave.  I think it is nice to see something out there so people know someone cares.

Valentines Day

Just take a look at the beautiful flowers my son-in-law got for my daughter on Valentine's Day.  He brought them to her job.  What a beautiful gift.  My husband was never one to do that.  In 61 years, he bought me 2 boxes of chocolates about 40 years apart. All the girls in the office got flowers but me.  It was a real downer day and I still don't enjoy it.  I am happy for those who do.

Flowers

We received a beautiful bouquet of all kinds of flowers today from our brother and sister-in-law. They live in Wisconsin and always send fresh flowers to enjoy in your home. They sent these because my husband is going to have some serious surgery next week. The flowers are just lovely and I took pictures of them and sent it to the on an email so they could see how they look. Flowers

Well the last of the flowers bit the dust this week. The Mums always hold out the longest and look so beautiful when everything has frozen off. But now they are frozen too and we have to wait till late next year to enjoy them again. We had snow flurries yesterday so that is a warning of things to come. I heard there is a very big snow storm heading for Denver for Thanksgiving. They are predicting it may go south of us. I sure hope so.

Barb's birthday

It's Barb's birthday today and she likes flowers best for her birthday and any celebration, for that matter. Her boys always get her alot of flowers and that is the best gift. We will all go out for supper tonight and celebrate with her. That will be fun and a favorite restaurant too. Makes me hungry thinking about it.
