Doctor visit
I had my doctor appointment today with the orthopedic surgeon. I had a bone scan about 2 weeks ago. The bone scan was to show whether of not my knee replacement is coming loose. Well, it has come loose and that means replacement of the replacement knee. It is quite a bit more major surgery than the first one was, although stay time in the hospital is about the same, physical therapy, etc. I was really hoping it would show that everything was holding tight in place, but it didn't. So I will be having the surgery next week.

Hospitals
Hospitals are a great place to be when you are really sick. Our hospital in the neighboring town has excellent doctors and nurses. They have all the facilities for physical therapy too. My husband is in for a week with major surgery and so far he has had a great bunch of nurses and helpers. It helps you get better faster when you have good care.

Flowers
We received a beautiful bouquet of all kinds of flowers today from our brother and sister-in-law. They live in Wisconsin and always send fresh flowers to enjoy in your home. They sent these because my husband is going to have some serious surgery next week. The flowers are just lovely and I took pictures of them and sent it to the on an email so they could see how they look. There are red roses, purple orchids, baby breath and several other yellow and green flowers that are so pretty. They should stay fresh for a long time.

Colon Cancer
Be sure to keep up on your regular colonoscopies as you never know. My husband had one Thursday and the doctor thought it was too early since his last one 4 years ago. However, they found colon cancer, a large tumor in the large colon. We have to wait 10 days to 2 weeks for the results of the biopsies and then it will be surgery. They tell us today colon cancer is very curable.

Prostate Cancer Diagnosed- Israel's Prime Minister
Israel's Prime Minister has prostate cancer. Ehud Olmert said he will have surgery for prostate cancer but he added it had been caught early and he would remain in office. He is 62 years of age, and has led Israel since 2006 when Ariel Sharon had a massive stroke that left him in a coma.
