The Snow is Melting!

Hurray! The snow is melting a little. There is actually slush on the roads and the roads are wet and may dry off by tonight. But the off roads look pretty bad yet. The landlord got out his backhoe yesterday and worked very hard to take some of the HUGE snow piles across the road and into a corn field that is there. We have just had so much snow that there is no where to put it. It has been lifted and pushed as high as the machinery will go. We had another 1/2" last night and they say another big snowstorm is headed right at us starting tomorrow and Monday. I think we have had a Monday snow or snowstorm or blizzard every Monday for a month or more.snow

Snow Storm

Sounds like a big snow storm is on the way. But I do not like it that they are talking about freezing rain first. If we get freezing rain and then snow on top of it, all the flowers will freeze out. Sometimes the grass even freezes out in place. That is not good. Last I heard they were talking 6 inches of snow as the worst case scenario. That does not sound good at all and on the weekend when everyone wants to go shopping after working all week. Sure hope it goes north and south of us. It has done that in years past.

Flowers

Well the last of the flowers bit the dust this week. The Mums always hold out the longest and look so beautiful when everything has frozen off. But now they are frozen too and we have to wait till late next year to enjoy them again. We had snow flurries yesterday so that is a warning of things to come. I heard there is a very big snow storm heading for Denver for Thanksgiving. They are predicting it may go south of us. I sure hope so.
