Tex Mex Night Out

It was Tex Mex night out for us tonight. Everything we had was delicious. We go to our favorite place and know the waitress quite well. She is a sweet gal with a little 4 year old girl. She always knows what we want to drink and has it on the table almost before we sit down. One of the owners is usually there too and she visits with us as well. We saw lots of trucks on the road hauling corn to the elevators. It is kind of a dangerous time to be on the road so you must be alert.

Birthdays are Fun

Our little great granddaughter turned 2 on November 1. She had a neat Elmo cake. She got all kinds of presents. It looked like an early Christmas. It is so much fun to see the little ones enjoying their birthdays. Her little first cousin was able to join in the fun too. Being only a few days apart in age, they really have a good time together.

Pizza Night

Went out for Pizza tonight. I really enjoy having various kinds of pizza as my husband does not like it. He goes for the broasted chicken every time. They have a new apple/walnut/lettuce salad now with raisins in it that is just delicious. I could eat a whole plate of that and skip the rest. But it is mashed potatoes, gravy and chicken for my husband and he is happy. I had "Sweet Swine" tonight and there was a time that I thought pineapple sounded funny for a pizza but it is delicious. I also like the Cheeseburger pizza that has dill pickles on it. Yum Yum

Headstart Bus

The little Headstart bus comes by here every morning. They pick up the little girl next door. I used to ride on the bus and buckle the kids into their seat belts. I did that for about 5 years after I retired. Now those same kids are in High School. It is really something to see some of them after 9 or 10 years and see how they have grown and changed.
