Mexican Food

I believe Mexican Food if my most favorite food. I went Tuesday for lunch at my favorite restaurant. I brought home enough for another meal. I never tire of it as there are so many different dishes to choose from. We now have a new Mexican restaurant in our town. It is very popular as it is a small town without many choices. However, businesses are growing and more of the workers are going out to lunch as they don't have far to go and they can choose American, Chinese, Mexican and more.

Tuesdays are Special

Tuesdays are special because I go see my brother. He has had some illness lately but is coming back from it. We like to go to Taco Johns for Mexican on Tuesdays. He's been going lots longer than I have. But one day he told me about it. He likes to go on Tuesdays because Tacos are only 69 cents each for as many as you want. I decided to join him and have been going since Fall since we had a great winter with no snow to speak of and all Tuesdays were good. They have a great variety of tasty Mexican besides tacos and I love to try new things all the time. Best of all are their churros for dessert. YUM!

Mexican Food

We were able to go have Taco Burgers this noon for lunch. That was a real treat while we waited for a prescription to be filled. Tonight we are going to our favorite restaurant for a Mexican supper. I think we could eat Mexican 7 days a week and never tire of it. I know I could. It has been raining a bit and can't decided whether to shut the windows or leave them open when we go eat.

Traveling

Some of our relatives are traveling back from their winter in Arizona. They are pulling a trailer with their pickup and I hope they don't run into any bad weather. So far their trip has been good and it was nice and warm in Oklahoma. They should be getting here by late tomorrow or Thursday and then we will go out for Mexican with them. They don't have good Mexican where they live so they look forward to that. We are always happy to see them as we usually only get to see them once or twice a year.

Weather Delays

We tried to get out of town last Thursday to have a steak for a change. However, the snow was blowing and sticking to the highway making a real mess. It was downright dangerous. So we turned around after 3 miles and came back home and had Mexican in our home town. We had enchiladas and the meal was very good. Ate lots of chips and dip too and it was also good.

Carlos O'Kellys Mexican Restaurant

Tonight our brother and sister-in-law should be pulling in with their pickup and trailer on their way to Arizona for several months. They live in Wisconsin and although we have had quite a bit of snow, they have had more. And it is colder there too and they are anxious to get to a warmer climate for awhile.

I wish we could do that too but I like being in my own home, own bed, own chair, etc. If it snows and blizzards, we are retired, so we can just watch it out the window and listen to the action on the police scanner.

We are thankful this Christmas that we have a new furnace and we are nice and warm. We will be meeting them and taking them out to our favorite restaurant for Mexican food. They look forward to this as it is their favorite too and there isn't a good Mexican restaurant where they live as yet.

Tex Mex Night Out

It was Tex Mex night out for us tonight. Everything we had was delicious. We go to our favorite place and know the waitress quite well. She is a sweet gal with a little 4 year old girl. She always knows what we want to drink and has it on the table almost before we sit down. One of the owners is usually there too and she visits with us as well. We saw lots of trucks on the road hauling corn to the elevators. It is kind of a dangerous time to be on the road so you must be alert.

Mexican Supper

Some very good friends from church are waiting for my husband to get his appetite back so that they can bring us a Mexican supper. We have a new restaurant in town and they just love it. It won't be long now, I think, and they will be able to do just that and bring the Mexican food. We love Mexican. It is better than steaks to us. So many are crazy for Chinese but give us Mexican anytime.

New Mexican Restaurant

We have a lovely new Mexican restaurant in town. They have really decorated it very nicely and the whole interior is very attractive. They have a lot of booths as well as tables and can seat quite a few. People love Mexican and there hasn't really been any good Mexican food in town so they are flocking to the new place.

They have a very large menu. Not only do they have lunch specials at great prices, but also dinners too. And if you can't find something you like on their menu, then you aren't looking. You can also get great side orders for those who aren't so hungry for a larger meal. I really hope everyone continues to patronize them so they stay in town. We really need more restaurants here.
