Fish Fry Today

Our neighbor tries to have a neighborhood fish fry once a year.  He is quite a fisherman and catches a lot of yellow bass.  He fries them up in bite size pieces and it is just delicious.  Then the invited neighbors bring the rest of the pot luck dishes and desserts and everyone has a great time.  They have set up a screened in tent this year under  a good shade tree.  We have been having way above normal temperatures and today the wind is to switch to the NW and start cooling down for a day or two.  It is 72 now and I see the trees are beginning to move a little.  It will be a fun day with good food.

Suppertime

It is going to be suppertime in a little while. The neighbor brought us over two huge vine ripened tomatoes. I can see a BLT in our future soon. But for tonight we are going out to supper. We have found a place with a great fish fry and they have it all day long. They have specials or you can mix up your potatoes and have different kinds. You can choose your own menu and we love that. They have a huge menu to choose from. It is awful windy and hope the wind slows down before we leave tonight.

T.G.I.F.

Tomorrow is Friday - TGIF. If it doesn't thunderstorm again, we will go to the fish fry. My husband and his brother have a lot of things to talk over. They both had their PSA tests done in the past week with very different results. For all the worrying his brother did, he got an excellent report of 1.1. You just can hardly beat that. We will eat a lot of good food and talk about the 4th of July too and make plans.

Friday Night Fish Fry

This isn't your usual run of the mill Friday night fish fry. They have the best chicken as well. It is a great place to meet friends and we usually meet relatives and talk over the week's happenings while we eat. They have a large selection of relishes, 2 kinds of potatoes, beef & noodles, 2 kinds of beans, buns, butter, coffee. What more could you ask for? And now the Girl Scouts are there with desserts. They bring cake, bars, and homemade pie that is very good. We love it all.

Fish Fry Night

It is fish fry night and we are going to a different one tonight. The one we usually go to has water problems due to flooding. They always have a good one too. But it will be nice for a change to go somewhere else. They have a wonderful salad bar there and we haven't been there for awhile so it will be a treat. We are looking forward to it. It is a beautiful sunny day in the 70's with a great breeze.

Friday Night Fish Fry

It was the weekly Friday night fish fry last night and we went and enjoyed a good supper and a long visit with relatives. We had a good trip to Ft. Dodge for Grandparents Day and a nice lunch there and spent a couple of hours in class with our grandson. He was really surprised to see us. His other set of grandparents couldn't make it so we were very glad we went. It rained all the way down there but it was beautiful coming home again.
