America's Favorite Gift Cards

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of FriendGiftr. All opinions are 100% mine.

Gift cards have been a life saver for me so many times. There are a great many wedding showers and baby showers in our church and I never know what to buy. Now with FriendGiftr I have a 120 merchants to choose from without leaving my home to run to the stores. I love to give gift cards for restaurants on birthdays and one of my favorite merchants is Applebee's. Most of our family and friends enjoy a good meal there, as well. However, one of the neat things about getting these gift cards is that they can exchange them for another merchant if they wish and it will not cost anything extra. Not only that but they can also split it up and have part of their gift card with one merchant and part of it with another. That is a wonderful advantage. It is also special to be able to send a digital card too.
I know one time it was my best friend's birthday and I sent her a beautiful card and then I found out how much she loves reading and I wished I had sent her a gift card to Barnes & Noble Booksellers. She would have been so pleased. But her birthday is coming around again next month so I can easily sent her a gift card at that time.
In addition, if you have a Blackberry or iPhone you can also order at Facebook and Android. It is so very convenient.

Grandchildren Grow So Fast

I can't believe how big our great grandchildren are getting already. Soon one will be 14 and the youngest are 6 months. The little ones are doing new things every day. It is amazing how they learn to talk and carry on a real conversation with you when they get over two years old. They really go through a multitude of stages, from sitting, to crawling, walking and talking and the next thing you know they are in school. It all goes too fast.

Avalon Waterways River Cruises-Panorama

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Avalon Waterways. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have always wanted to see many parts of Europe. Therefore, I have searched the Internet for River Cruise Deals and I foundwww.avalonwaterways.com. They have a wonderful new Avalon Panorama cruise ship that has all the amenities you could possibly desire. I took their 3D tour and I feel my favorite part of the ship was the full wall size 11 x 7 ft panoramic window in the suites. What a view! It is just outstanding. The rooms are spacious and provide you with everything you need including the proper clothing to wear during the cruise. When you arrive at the end of your day, you have a colorful room and completely comfortable bed awaiting you with comfy robe and slippers. This is the first ship of its kind in Europe with 1550 percent more suites available. Imagine that a 200 foot suite could easily accommodate 100 cruisers inside it. Outstanding! The Open Air Balcony in each Avalon Suite can be used all the time, no matter what the weather, whereas other ships are limited, depending on weather conditions. Avalon Waterways have thought of everything. I want to start planning now and I want to Request a free cruise brochure from them now as there are presently many River Cruise Deals at great rates.

Weather

No kidding when they say if you don't like the weather here, just wait a day. It went from boiling hot to almost chilly. I wore a jacket to the garage this morning to get the car serviced. Had to pick up some groceries but by then it had warmed enough to leave the jacket in the car. Why is it we are always on the verge of being out of milk? We ought to have a cow for as much milk as we drink. It goes fast though if you use it in pudding or cappiccino but it is soooo good. Well better get busy and start lining up supper. Picked up a couple ears of sweet corn but doubt it is very good yet as it has to be flown in from across the country

Chills and Fever

Boy was I sick yesterday. The night before I had such chills, I just shook the bed. No matter how much I pulled up the covers, I could not stop shaking. I finally got out of bed and put on my heavy winter fluffy robe and slippers and got back into bed. It took awhile but I finally warmed up and quick shaking. Then when I got up I was warm. My temperature was about 3 degrees above what is normal for me. I just burned up all day with a few chills at noon and then more fever. It got to 100.5 and didn't know what to do. Kept drinking water as they say that will bring down a fever. Anyway, I took 2 coated aspirin and by the time I went to bed I was warm but felt almost normal. Slept pretty good and about 3 am took 2 tylenol. Then when I woke up I was soaking wet with sweat and knew the fever had broken. My husband and I talked about it and he had this about 2 weeks ago. When the weather was 90, he wanted the a/c off and bundled him up in a heavy throw blanket and heat pad. Must be a 24 hour virus like our old doctor used to say. Glad it is over.
