Mexican Lunch

I stopped at Taco Bell after church.  I wanted to get something for lunch.  Decided on a stuffed grilled beef burrito.  It was huge.  I couldn't believe the size of it.  Much larger than Taco Johns.  It was very good.  I have also been seeing a pecan apple salad wrap advertised on TV at ARBY's so went there and got one of those for supper tonight.  I hope it is as good as it looks on television.  It is nice to have something different for a change.

Cooking Supper

Does anyone out there get tired of making supper? After many years, I feel burned out cooking supper. I dug out my recipe box the other day and tried a couple of old recipes I used to make quite often. Now they didn't seem to be quite as good as they once were. I am trying to find things that are easy and we won't have leftovers for a week. Two nights is fine but not a week's worth. We're going out tonight and I am looking forward to it.

Homemade Rice Soup

I think we will have homemade rice soup for supper. I made it this morning and we had a little for lunch too. It has wonderful beef broth and small beef chunks in it. It also has rice and diced potatoes and carrots. I add some good beef bullion which salts it enough and also gives it a good beefy flavor. Hot soup is always good in the kind of winter weather we are having.

Bacon and Eggs

We had breakfast for supper tonight. I made a huge pan of crisp bacon and eggs over easy for supper tonight. Hot toast buttered with raspberry jam and cold milk tasted very good for a change. I fresh fried some potatoes to go along with the bacon and eggs and put on a dish of cold sliced peaches for dessert. It was an easy supper but tasty and fast. I had been working on the computer and it was getting too close to suppertime. Last night we went out to the Pizza Ranch and had a great buffet.
