Missing my Husband
It has been 4 years since my husband left for Heaven. Sometimes it seems like yesterday and then again it seems like it has been forever. It is no fun at all losing the love of your life. We were married when I was 17 and he was 23. He went right into the Army and spent 18 months in Germany during the Korea Conflict. Then he came home and we raised 5 children and spent 21 years on an acreage raising feeder pigs too.

Christmas
Had a wonderful Christmas. Lots of family and food. Neat gifts too and got to hold newest great granddaughter. She is a month old and so cute. Took 4 generation picture and many others. Kids had a hey day opening their gifts. Adults had a great time too. We had some rough weather in the morning but the sky turned blue and sunshine and it was really nice the rest of the day.

Waiting for the Parade
Everyone loves a parade and in the summertime, it seems every small town around here has a celebration and a parade. Here is our daughter with one of her little grandsons, waiting for the Parade. They always get excited when candy is thrown out to them and as they get bigger, they get more excited it seems. As for me, if I never see another tootsie roll again, it will be too soon :0).

Youngest Pro Basketball Player
Isn't this the way the pro basketball players got their start? Here is the future. He is practicing to see if he can beat his Dad at the game. It won't be long and he'll be out there on the basketball floor throwing baskets before you know it. No sense in wasting time. Start them young :0)

Broken Foot

Our little great grandson broke his foot at the swimming pool. It sounded like kind of a freak happening but feel sorry for the little guy. He is always so smiley and I guess it wasn't long and he was running around on the foot. That's kids for you. It hurt awful at first but he overcame it and kids heal fast too.
