Weather Change

We sure had the weather change from yesterday. It started out cool in the morning but by noon it was hot in the house so we closed the windows and turned on the air conditioning again. It stayed that way all day and into the evening. Then the wind switched directions 3 times. We have a little windmill we watch every day to see which direction the wind is coming from When it switches to the North, it really cools off and it is cold this morning. It is very cloudy too so there is no sun to warm things up. I saw the neighbor kids going to school in warm coats this morning. I think they are going to need them for the rest of the week.

100 degrees in The Sun

Our thermometer on the deck says 100 degrees. And it feels like it out in the sun. We mowed the sunny side of the lawn yesterday afternoon about 2:30 and it was half sun and half shade. No breeze. It was terrible. We both mowed so didn't take us very long. It was a good thing because you could melt out there and sunburn too. I wish the grass would slow down growing but we keep getting rains on it but I guess that is good for the crops.

Can you believe it is June already. The weather has been at least a month behind. It is quite normal to have nights in the 40's and that is too cold. Now suddenly it is summer. Have to turn off the furnace and turn on the air conditioner. So much for saving any energy or chance of lowering the light/gas bill. We kept the windows open as long as we could but enough was enough. When it gets 85 in our house, we need air and the wind has almost quit altogether now that we need it.

It's Too Hot!

The indoor/outdoor thermometer is reading 112 in the sun outside. We have hardly seen any birds at the feeders. They must be finding enough seed everywhere else right now. The lawn is burned brown. We really need rain, bad.
