Gas Prices

Gas prices are really going up again. In my hometown, it is quite a lot higher than in the bigger towns. I filled up yesterday in the town where I go to church. I saved quite a bit per gallon. Then stopped at the Taco Johns connected to it. I brought home to grilled beef buritos that are each a meal in themselves. It was a beautiful warm day yesterday. Not quite so good today as rain this morning and wind warning all day.

Gas Prices

Saturday I drove down near Des Moines.  I saw several stations selling gas cheaper than we have at home.  But most of the stations were as high if not higher.  The gas has been rising fast and hope it is about done.  I stopped at a little town on the way home.  I knew they usually have gas cheaper than we have here at home.  I was right so I filled up and that will last me for awhile.  I don't like to let the tank get down to half as it really costs to fill then.  It was below half this time but I was happy to get gas at a lower charge.

Gas Prices

It seems like the price of gas changes daily around here. Yesterday it was one price and today it dropped a penny. I decided I better fill up as it could be raining pretty hard tomorrow. I don't like to gas up the car in the rain. I like the station I go to because they give you a free daily newspaper when you get gas.

Gas Prices Fall Friday, Futures Prices Higher

Retail gas prices fell slightly Friday,, the first time in 18 days that they haven't risen to a record. Analysts say pump prices may be peaking for the year. Oil futures, meanwhile, soared after Turkish air strikes on Kurdish rebel bases in Iraq injected some supply concerns into the market. The national average price of a gallon of regular gas fell 0.1 cent overnight to $3.622, according to a survey of gas stations by AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. That is the first time since April 14 that retail prices have fallen. Diesel prices fell 0.2 cent to a national average of $4.249 a gallon. I guess we are lucky here that we are paying $3.479 and diesel is just over $4 I believe.

Gas Prices Rise to New National Record

With gas at $109 a barrel the last time I heard, it is no wonder our gas prices are rising. I don't know how the semi drivers can continue to haul everything with the price of Diesel. I have heard a lot of them are quitting because they can't afford the gas. Groceries are going up in the store by leaps and bounds. Milk is now higher than a gallon of gas. that is a first. What would you feel like if you had the money, but there were no groceries in the store to buy at any price? Could it happen? I think it could but I sure hope it doesn't. They say the national average for gas if $3.2272 a gallon and ours in town is $3.099 so I guess we are lucky??
