Weather Report

Another bad weather report.  They are saying we will have another blizzard tomorrow.  People will have trouble getting to work.  If they get to work, they will have trouble getting home.  Yesterday was a beautiful day.  Much snow melted but it left a lot of ice behind.  It is 30 degrees already which is quite warm for the winter we have been having.  It will melt a lot of snow again today but we are due to get icy conditions and 3-7 inches of new snow again.  We will all enjoy Spring whenever it gets here.  It will be appreciated more than ever this year.

Weather Report

Sounds like we are in for a good old fashioned blizzard by Thursday.  It has been moving in on us from the West.  They have even named it.  That's something new I think.  We could get 6" of snow and up but so far, all the snows have missed us.  It's like we are sitting in a shelter and it all goes around.  Minnesota and Wisconsin have gotten our share and this could stay farther south.  You never know till it gets here.  We have been having little "corn snow" as the Norwegians call it.  I call it popcorn snow :0)  Little tiny pebbles covering everything, but it is melting on the grass and roads. Have to watch out for slippery decks on our homes here.

Snowing and Blowing

Late yesterday afternoon, we got the heaviest snow flurries that I can remember. The wind really picked up and it was blowing the snow off the roofs. It looked like a regular blizzard. Then it would stop just as quickly as it started. Everything had melted off the driveways and streets and now everything has a light coat of white again. I guess we are happy though as this has been the best winter ever.

Blizzard Again

Here we go again. First a freezing mist on everything. Then it changed to snow and at last count it looked like about 3 inches. The wind is really blowing from the southeast so if you do not shovel the right direction you get it right back in your face. My husband was going to snow blow out the driveway but decided to wait for the landlord to do it. He's got a big snow blower and it won't take him but a couple minutes and it will be all done.

Blizzard Here

We are having a real blizzard here. They just sent the kids home from school. I can't see across the drive way hardly. The winds are gusting 45 mph and it is down right nasty out. I feel sorry for anyone who is out in this. It is good to be home in a warm home. Snow is flying everywhere and the rain we got last night has frozen on the roads and everything is slick. There will be lots of cars in the ditches today and tonight. People just aren't smart enough to stay at home on days like this.
