Cancer Free!!!!

My husband had colon cancer surgery in April last year. He had a very large tumor that was just about to break through the colon wall. They took 19 lymph nodes and there was no trace of cancer so he didn't have to have any further treatment - no chemo or radiation. Last week he had his annual follow-up colonoscopy to be sure there was no more cancer. He got a great report. He is cancer free. Praise the Lord, God is Good, all the time.

Farmer's Market

Our granddaughter-in-law has a blog called They Call Me Old Fashioned. On it she shows all the wonderful things she makes for the local Farmer's Market. They had great weather this weekend. Even though it rained last week, they sold out. It is because she has such a talent for decorating foods. People keep returning to get more of her delicious baked goods.

Outdoor Barbeque

The neighbors are barbequing steaks outdoors. He is quite a hunter and I am sure they are deer steaks. It always smells so good. We had a big lunch at church at noon and neither of us is even hungry for supper tonight. Maybe we will have some popcorn or something like that later tonight. I baked a coffee cake for workers for the church for yesterday and they saved us a couple pieces. Boy it is good!!!

Lunchtime with Family

Uncle Jake has joined his brother and family for lunch. They always have a good time together. It is nice that they live in the same town so they can see each other more. Family is important and it is fun to visit and enjoy a meal with them. The little ones are growing up so fast we can hardly believe it. I am glad at our age, that we are still around to enjoy them too.
