72 degrees in March 2012

It is 72 degrees again today in March. That is just unbelievable but we have to believe it because it is here. We broke all high temperature records yesterday by 10 degrees. That is really something. No coats, mittens or boots because there is no snow. It is supposed to be about 40 degrees and maybe 20 at night but nights keep getting warmer too. Probably in the 60's tonight. We love it but we better enjoy it and remember it because next winter just isn't going to be like this one. I would bet on that. In 2003 it was 71 degrees on March 14 and then we got 11.4 inches of snow on April 7, 2003 so you just never know. The weatherman doesn't think we need to worry this year but he said don't put away the snow shovel just yet.:0)

Rain in March?

March usually comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. I am not sure what it is going to do this year. So far it has been a lamb and it is March 5 but tomorrow they say it could rain with a snow mix. I guess we will see. I just hope it goes out like a lamb, warms up in April and goes into a nice Spring for a change. We need to get rid of all this snow.

NASA Space Shuttle Launch

NASA is aiming to launch the space shuttle Discovery next month after repeated delays caused by critical valves. Wednesday shuttle managers said they hope to launch on March 12, a full month after the original launch date of February 12. It is better though, to be safe than sorry. Everything should be working 100% before they launch. We don't want any more disasters and deaths. If the shuttle isn't flying by March 13 or 14, it will have to wait until April to make way for a Russian Soyuz rocket that is supposed to blast off with a fresh crew for the international space station.

Last Day of March

Well March came in like a lion and is going out like a lion. It is supposed to come in like a lion and go out like a lamb to be ideal but not this year. It is so cold again and more snow again. Not as bad as last time but bad enough. Makes the roads dangerous driving again.

Hello March

Well March came in like a lion and left a real mess of things. Deep snow everywhere. Had to blow out the driveway because the landlord was so busy. He's usually right there but he must have something else to do first. He has a construction business and works inside as well as outside. He's a very busy man but a good one.
