Short Hospital Stay

Well, for all the forewarnings they gave me about this knee surgery, I sure did have a short stay in the hospital. I know that is due to all the prayers for me before, during and after the surgery. The parts in my knee had all worked very loose and it was easy for the doctors to take them out and then put in the new ones. Now I am doing a lot of exercises and physical therapy to get going again. I had my first session this morning and it really loosened up my knee a lot already. I will be going at least twice a week for awhile until I can bend it 90 degrees or more.

Knee Surgery

My sister-in-law just had knee replacement surgery. It only took an hour and a half and she was back in her room shortly after. All went well and they bent her leg while she was out, to be sure it works well. I know she is glad that is over with and will be glad when she is walking again on that leg. She was walking bone on bone and it was very painful before the surgery.

It is wonderful what they can do now to replace parts. I have had both knees replaced and so glad that I did. She should only be in the hospital 3 or 4 days and then walk with a walker for a few weeks and some physical therapy and she is going to feel so much better.

Faith Hill, Country Star, Knee Surgery

Faith Hill hasn't wasted any time getting back to work following knee surgery last week. Hill, age 40, has been recuperating at her home in Nashville, TN., and keeping busy with her music engagements. The operation was the result of an old knee injury suffered while playing softball in high school and normal wear and tear over the years. She has resumed recording her upcoming Christmas album. She has also been preparing to perform at the Feb 8 tribute to Aretha Franklin at the Musi-Cares Person of the Year evening in Los Angeles.
