Haircuts

Tomorrow is haircut day. I arranged it so my husband and I could both get our hair cut at the same time or at least one right after the other. He doesn't like going out in the cold at 8:00 a.m. but it isn't so bad and it is only a few blocks. His barber retired so he has my beauty operator cut his hair now and I think he likes the job she does even better than the barber. At least it isn't going to be snowing tomorrow although it will be very cold.

Haircuts

My beauty operator called yesterday and asked if I could come today for my haircut. I took the appointment in a New York minute. I have short curly hair and it grows out so fast. I have so many things to do tomorrow that this worked out really good. She was even surprised at how much my hair had grown.

My husband is having his hair cut there too now as his barber is taking radiation treatments for cancer. I see lots more men in the beauty shop getting haircuts than ever before. I know they really miss their regular barber as he was a laugh a minutes, always telling jokes.

Haircuts

My husband just went to get his haircut. His barber has been cutting hair for a great many years. He just took part in a State wide contest and won $500. He was one of 10 finalists. He is about 71 now and says he will keep cutting hair as long as he can. He enjoys the people. He always has a joke or two for them. He's fun to listen to. Sometimes I go along and sit and listen for the fun of it.
