Time to Mow the Lawn

We had a great 3 day weekend where we didn't do anything at home. We went all kinds of places and had a great time. But now it was time to get down to business at home and mow the lawn. It really had grown over the last several days, thanks to rain and lots of sunshine and warmth. My husband got the mower out and did a good job on the lawn and then he took the trimmer and did all the trimming. We have a little windmill that was getting pretty tall grass underneath but, it looks great now.

Lawns

Our lawn just dried up and looked like it died for about 6 weeks. It was the color and texture of straw and we thought sure it was done for. But after 6 weeks of drought, we finally got some rain and it began to turn green in spots. It took quite a few rains, but now it is back to normal and growing so fast you have to mow quite often again. My husband loves a beautiful lawn.

Sunny and Warmer

Well at last, it is sunny and warmer and the snow is melting. Can this be signs of Spring at last? I sure hope so. The snow blower is put away and checking out the lawn mower. Grass looks green after the snow melted. I want to get the bird feeders filled and ready. Had alot of Goldfinch last year and hope we have more this year.
