Blood

Do realize how serious it is to pass blood in your urine. There is a good reason for it and you better get to the doctor or ER. My husband has been passing blood clots and he also had a severe ache in his back. We never thought of kidney stones until this morning. He passed 2 clots and with much pain and since then the blood has stopped. I called the hospital and they said to go to ER but now he seems to be OK so will wait a bit longer. It is nothing to mess with though.

Heart Attacks for Christmas?

Did you know that the holidays bring on heart attacks? December and January are the deadliest months for heart disease, and many of the things that make the season merry are the culprits. These are rich meals, more alcohol and all that extra stress. But what may make the Christmas heart attack more deadly than the same size heart attack during the summer or any other month, is the double dose of denial. It is not uncommon for people to initially shrug off chest pain as indigestion. Research suggests they are even more reluctant for a run to the ER when it means disrupting a holiday party or gathering, or if they have traveled to a strange city which means they arrived there sick.

C S I and ER

These are two of my favorite programs. I just love to follow alone with the CSI people as they figure out the case. My husband thinks it gets to gory sometimes but I don't mine that. I think I would have enjoyed being a surgical nurse in another lifetime if I had the chance when I was young to go to college. Although at that time, I didn't think about being a nurse. I love to follow any medical shows too and ER is my favorite.
