There are a number of ways that people like to travel to go camping. Going by RV is the best way to get where you are going with all of your supplies, groceries, etc. You can pull a little trailer too. That is what my sister and her husband did for years. However, my neighbors have always choosen to take tents for their big family and just love camping out in a tent. You can pack your tent right in the trunk of your car, in your RV or in a pull behind trailer. Once you find your favorite sight and get your tent set up, you are all set to get your firepit going. Sitting out at night under the stars, eating over the campfire, singing songs, telling stories and of course, roasting some hot dogs and marshmallows is probably the most fun for the kids. I like roasting marshmallows myself and look forward to that. You can sit around a good fire and the mosquitoes do not bother you. I guess they do not care much for fire or heat like that. Icy Weather

It has not been a nice day outside today. We had terrible strong winds that just beat the rain against the windows. It sounded like hail but think it was sleet as many windows were frozen over. I tried to take a nap and it got so loud several times, it woke me up. I tried to get the mail and the mail boxes were all frozen shut so my husband had to go out and beat on them to get the ice out so we could get our mail. It is good to be in the nice warm house tonight.

Eating Birthday Cake

It does not have to be your birthday to enjoy birthday cake. As you can see here, our little great grandson is devouring a piece of his 3 year old sister's birthday cake. He loves to eat and who wouldn't love a delicious piece of cake? It is so much fun to see little ones really go at it and get it all over themselves. They don't care about neatness, just eating and having lots of fun doing just that.

I worked for a smaller business a couple of years ago. That is when I learned the high cost of accepting credit cards cards. They finally had to drop one credit card completely because it was twice as high to process it as the rest of the cards. Getting Ready For Winter

We brought in the Hummingbird feeder and washed it out good. Then we also brought in the rain gauge so it wouldn't freeze and crack and have to get a new one next year. Our outdoor thermometer is off I think so will probably get a new one of those next Spring. I think moisture may have gotten into it. They don't seem to last long. My husband brought in the eves spouts extensions now too and I think everything is ready for winter. Hate to see winter come though with its snow and ice.
